Fly & drive in Puglia


1 Day – Lecce – 3 nights
Arrival at Brindisi airport, pick up your car and Discover Puglia on your own.
Transfer to your hotel in Lecce (31 miles). In the afternoon visit to a winery and wine tasting in a small village near Lecce.

2 Day – Ionian
Full day tour in the fascinating Salento Province. Starting your tour from Lecce, famous for its baroque style, you can easily get to Galatina (17 miles) a very old town full of history and churches among which, the Basilica di Santa Caterina di Alessandria with its precious cycle of paintings, stands out and Gallipoli (16 miles) ancient town of fishermen and sailors, called the Ionian pearl where you can experience an olive oil tasting in an old underground olive mill.

3 Day – Adriatic
Full day tour on the other side of the Salento peninsula. You will see the most enchanting landscapes driving down to Santa Maria di Leuca De Finibus Terrae (44 miles) and then going up to Castro, Santa Cesarea Terme, Porto Badisco and Otranto (34 miles) a really charming town thanks to its Aragonese Castle, the Cathedral, many inlets and the Alimini Lakes.

4 Day – Alberobello – 2 nights
Full day tour in the heart of the Murgia, one of the most attractive areas of Puglia. Visit of Alberobello (72 miles), UNESCO heritage and the capitol of the Trullos, transfer to Locorotondo for a cooking class and lunch. Early afternoon visit of Ostuni (20 miles) called the white town for its bright colour and Martina Franca (18 miles) destination recommended for all lovers of the baroque and the palaces.

5 Day – Matera
The Sassi (47 miles)and the park of the Rupestrian Churches of Matera (UNESCO heritage) are the best surviving and most complete examples of rock-cut settlement in the Mediterranean region. The caves have been used since prehistoric times.

6 Day – Bari – 1 night
Visit of Bari (35 miles) old historical centre and then Trani (32 miles) with its wonderful Romanesque Cathedral overlooking the sea, one of the most famous of Puglia. Well-known is Castel del Monte (9 miles) UNESCO heritage with its octagonal layout. Characteristic of Castel del Monte is the repeated use of the number eight: octagonal towers are inserted on each of the eight corners.

7 Day – Bari
Drop off the car at Bari airport and departure.
